“It’s all about customer service” says one Cwmbran business celebrating two decades in business. Accountancy firm Green & Co celebrated its twentieth birthday this year; with over 240 clients that have been with them since day one. The loyalty of the firms’ clients is testament to the excellent standard of service the practice provides.

“We build relationships with our clients.” said Nick Park, Director of Green & Co. “We care about their business and we treat them as individuals, preferring not to have a one-size-fits-all approach to accounting.”

The company’s recent acquisition of Pembroke House, as part of an ongoing expansion plan, places the firm in a great position for continued growth. They have recently taken on two new members of trainee staff and hope to expand further in 2014.

“We meet with our clients on a regular basis.” continues Mr Park. “We do this to assist them in achieving their business goals and objectives, as well as to encourage them to develop a good work-life balance which is something we promote within our own practice. We offer pre-year end tax planning and like to think of ourselves as a proactive accountancy firm. We take great pride in the way that we treat our customers and it seems to be a system that the clients have a great response to.”

The privately owned firm was founded by Hugh Green in June 1993. He was soon joined by Nick Park, and, in 2006, after Mr Green’s retirement, Ed Gooderham joined the Board of Directors. The business has grown from servicing a small number of clients locally to acquiring a large number of corporate and agricultural clients across the breadth of the UK.
